Mad River KICKSTART
This is what your newly set up aquaponics system needs! Contained within are a myriad of living microbes, but specifically, two that are very important to us as aquapons.
The two bacteria that we are after have very important jobs. The first is Nitrosonoma, Which convert Ammonia into Nitrite, this is where the second bacteria takes over, (Nitrospira), and converts the nitrite into nitrate. This mimics the natural nitrogen cycle that takes place in any lake, or pond that has fish present.
To cycle a newly set up aquaponic system, and have these bacteria in place, can take up to 6 months if just done naturally, and during this time, your fish, and or plants can suffer, due to increasing levels of ammonia, and then nitrite.
By adding KICKSTART, you will be adding the necessary microbes right into the system so that they can get to work right away, making both your plants, and your fish happy, without the wait!
Kickstart can also be used to boost your houseplants by giving them a healthy snack as well. Shipping is included in the price.
