Black Opal HEIRLOOM tomato 10 seeds

The Black Opal offers heavy yields of  cherry style tomatoes, that are blue on the outside, red on the inside, and have a taste that matches their visual appeal.

The blue skin comes from Anthocyanin, a antioxidant that is also gives blueberries their color. Plants are semi determinate, and will reach an average height of about 3 feet. Fruit is ready to pick when the bottom is "kissed" by red (about 70 days from transplant).

All our seeds are organically grown and harvested on our small family farm by hand without the use of harsh pesticides, or chemical fertilizers, using permaculture techniques to ensure that we leave the land healthier, and in better shape than it was before the season began. We believe that the absolute BEST fertilizer is the farmer's shadow, and seek to inspire others to take a part in growing their own food, and make the move toward self sufficiency.
